Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls

Instructions

  1. Combine hot milk, water, butter, sugar and salt.  Cool to lukewarm.
  2. Add 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of white flour; beat well.
  3. Add beaten eggs and mix.
  4. Whisk together yeast with remaining flour and gradually add to the mixture to make soft dough. Place in a greased bowl; turn once to grease surface; cover and place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  5. Knead lightly on floured surface; form in rolls and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  6. Let rise in a warm place for about 1-1/2 hours.
  7. Bake in a hot oven (400F) for 15 minutes.
  8. Brush with melted butter.
